Iran Commemorates 45th Anniversary of Arrival of Imam Khomeini from Exile
Iran marks the 45th anniversary of return of Imam Khomeini from exile which led to the victory of Islamic revolution.
On 1 February 1979, Imam Khomeini, being welcomed by millions of Iranians, returned from exile with a call for independence and freedom. 10 days later, the Iranian nation overthrew a brutal dictatorship. To this day, Imam Khomeini's insights continue to inspire Iranians in safeguarding their rights. The 10-day period, from the date of arrival of Imam Khomeini to the victory of the Revolution is called Daheh Fajr and is being celebrated throughout the country.
