On 1 February 1979, Imam Khomeini, being welcomed by millions of Iranians, returned from exile with a call for independence and freedom. 10 days later, the Iranian nation overthrew a brutal dictatorship. To this day, Imam Khomeini's insights continue to inspire Iranians in safeguarding their rights. The 10-day period, from the date of arrival of Imam Khomeini to the victory of the Revolution is called Daheh Fajr and is being celebrated throughout the country.
